How is it time to holiday shop already!? Like didn’t we just do this? In honor of surviving 20 months (and counting) of a global pandemic, I am offering up some wowza deals on the jewelry I hand make. I love selling on Etsy, I really do. It connects me with shoppers all around the country. People are wearing my designs in Massachusetts and Washington and many other places I’ve never even been to! But, a lot of people sell on Etsy right? And coming up on the first page of searches seems like a combo of luck and Benjamins so, inorder to allow Whitney Wisdom Beading to grow the way I know it can, I decided doing wholesale orders to local boutiques was the way to go. Whenever I am in a boutique and I see something I really like, I know I am more likely to buy it then and there because who knows if I’ll see it again? Plus shopping local and supporting shop owners you’ve actually met is a shopping experience I want my jewelry to be a part of.
Rooted is owned by a mother/daughter duo and has two locations near my hometown: on Main St. in Newark, DE and on New London Rd. in Lincoln University, PA. Already been to these shops? Here are the items I made to lookout for! The Main St. location will be carrying 43 heishi clay sorority bracelets, just in time for recruitment and Big/Little week to begin again. Rooted is also getting 36 silver seed bead rings inspired by Tiffany’s but for a fraction of the cost. All rings by Whitney Wisdom Beading are one size and made on elastic. They can fit any finger which was done on purpose to include all body sizes but also to exploit the thumb ring trend that is just emerging!
Pull cord bracelets are a WWB classic. Rooted with my favorite celestials: gold moons and silver stars, plus gold or silver hearts and silver snowflakes - perfect for the holiday season!
Hoop earrings continue to be one of the top trending jewelry items so, I’ve made 12 never-seen-before heishi colorblock hoops for the stores. On my Etsy site the earrings are semi-DIY: you design the colors, I make it and ship it to ya for free.
